An ancient hamlet in the land of the Medici, a recovered farmhouse, the dreams and passions that populate Le Tre Virtù.
Cosimo di Giovanni de' Medici - the famous "Cosimo the Elder" - purchases an estate in the Florentine countryside, between the castles of Cafaggiolo and Trebbio. Thus began the history of the Medici possessions in Mugello which in the following centuries expanded into the surrounding area.
The “Casaccia”, as the main farmhouse that houses Le Tre Virtù was called at the time, appears in the maps that outline the settlements in the Medici lands of Mugello, between Scarperia and San Piero a Sieve. The main body was surrounded by the barn, a hut and a pigsty.
In the representation of the territory of the church of San Michele in Lucigliano, the modern Leopoldine maps once again report the presence of the Casaccia. A short distance away is the Convent of Bosco ai Frati, one of the oldest in Tuscany.
In some ruins in the Florentine countryside, Valentina and Christian find what remains of the Casaccia and decide to bring the ancient farmhouse back to life. From the choice of materials to the recovery of modern objects, every step of the valorisation of the old estate was followed firsthand with the support of local artisans.
After a long and careful restoration Le Tre Virtù becomes a luxury relais in the heart of Tuscany. The perfect combination of location and landscape, the authentic flavor of Tuscan rural architecture, the possibility of pursuing an eco-sustainable approach are the distinctive characteristics of the project.
"The fertile green area of Mugello, the convivial hospitality and the ability to obtain excellent products from the Tuscan land are the three virtues of our estate."
